Ken lives in southwest Denver with his wife of 22 years and 2 of their 3 kids. His wife, Lynn works as a Purchasing Coordinator for Red Rocks Community College. Alex, 19, graduated valedictorian in 2021, and has decided to stay in state for college and is studying to become a psychiatrist. McKenna, 16, is involved in many activities at school but really excels in choir. Matthew, 10, loves to play various sports but especially enjoys playing goalie in soccer. After a career in the first responder world as an EMT/Firefighter and 9-1-1 dispatcher, Ken now works as a financial professional helping others plan for their futures. Ken has been officiating since he was in high school, working Pony league baseball in southern California. He currently officiates volleyball along with football. He started his football career in 2005, here in Denver. He has worked 6 semi-final games and had the honor of officiating the highest scoring 5A championship in Colorado history as a back judge in 2017. He has been a crew chief since 2016 and started working as a referee full time in 2018. Ken loves to mentor newer officials and has a passion for training and improving others around him. He is most proud of the accomplishments of those he has worked with and mentored. Several have made it to championship games and others have moved on up into the college ranks. Ken is honored to serve the association that has given him so much over his officiating career.
