Curt Brouwer
Vice-President (2026)
Curt and his wife Shelley live in Greenwood Village, their two adult children and three grand kids live nearby in Denver as well. After playing high school and college football in Minnesota, Curt had a desire to stay close to the game, but had a busy career that didn’t leave him much time for involvement; officiating became the answer. In 1995 Curt started in the umpire position and as the need arose, moved quickly to Referee. When crews were introduced to DFOA over 20 years ago, he became a crew chief. He refereed his first 5A championship game in 2004, the last 5A final played in a high school stadium before moving to Mile High. Curt has refereed six total high school championship games, most recently in 2023 at CSU in Ft. Collins. After leaving a career in the financial services industry, Curt has been the co-owner of Pineapple Interiors, a home staging and furniture rental company, for the last 18 years. Curt and Shelley are very involved in their church in Englewood, where Curt is currently mentoring a group of young men. They enjoy golfing, biking, playing pickleball and summer lake living in the Midwest. Their biggest joy is their family, especially the three grandkids, you may have even seen a coin-toss or two with grandkids involved. Curt's desire is to continue to build on the tradition of strong leadership, mentoring, training and evaluation in the Denver association. With all the years of football experience that Curt is known for, he may best be known as the one to bring officials together, any time of year, to discuss the game and to discuss life.
